LAHORE: Many areas inside the city faced strength disruption for hours on Wednesday after the countrywide Transmission & Dispatch company’s 220kV transmission line and grid tripped due to a technical fault.
The scenario prompted tripping of 7 132kV grid stations and contours of the Lahore electric supply company around 12 midday.
in step with officers, the Lesco traces that tripped due to fault in 220kV Band avenue grid and transmission line covered Gulshan-i-Ravi, Shadman, Cantonment, Riwaz lawn, Bhati Gate and castle Grid.
“This led to suspension of power being furnished via Lesco’s distribution device in lots of areas. But, the 220kV Band avenue grid resumed operation after the engineers eliminated the fault,” said a Lesco reputable. He said the employer made efforts to deliver energy to the affected regions via different sources.
according to a spokesman for the NTDC, the 220kV grid tripped because of a technical fault in its line’s insulators. “but it was rectified inside the shortest viable time, allowing Lesco to resume the everyday strength distribution,” he added.
