DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (AFP) - round 20 prisoners and two guards were killed in clashes at a maximum safety prison in Tajikistan’s northern town of Khujand, safety sources told AFP on Thursday.

The jail in Tajikistan’s second-largest city is home to prisoners serving lengthy sentences for critical crimes consisting of extremism and homicide.
