PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has abolished the Fata disaster control Authority (FDMA) and transferred its functions and jurisdiction to the Provincial catastrophe management Authority (PDMA).
A notification issued through the relief, Rehabilitation and settlement (RRS) department stated that in pursuance of Article 25 of the charter and merger of defunct Fata as well its administrative setup with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the KP chief minister has accepted the abolition of FDMA.
It says that as such the publish of director preferred FDMA shall stand abolished and a unit named ‘complex Emergencies’ wing, headed through a director, shall stand created in PDMA. The wing might be headed by way of an officer of BS-19 and might have power of sixty four officers.
It said that the prevailing workforce of FDMA shall document to the DG PDMA thru director complex emergencies.
